Where did you buy these from? From Taylor Made. Its a 2 piece gasket
Part # 8352000 5ft reqd.
Part # 8359000 2ft reqd.
I went down to boat over the weekend at it does appear that these are the right parts.

Good news, Thank youInstalled the gasket on the vent window this weekend. The worst part was removing the old fossilized gaskets around the sides and bottom of the vent. Once properly cut, the new pieces fit right in. The shorter gasket part looks like the window gasket in the fixed frames, not the gasket at the for the vent glass and I did not use it. I ran out of time to water test it for leaks, but it looks tight.
I should have done this years ago.

I just received my gaskets and will install this weekend. Is the gasket just a friction fit or did you use a sealant too?
When you said shorter piece does that mean that we do not have to order both?
I only used the 5’ piece to fill the bottom and two sides. The shorter 2’ piece did not look like it matches what was on top and since the old piece was sound, I didn’t fiddle with it. Depending on y9ur setup, I think you can get away with ordering only the one piece.
Mercruiser has a factory rebuild and repower program. I talked with them about it when I was looking at 370s. Its fulfilled through dealers but the factory can explain the program. The tech I talked with was really helpful about explaining the program and recommending engine options. Wont be cheap but you will know what you are getting.Well, guess the timing could have been worse, but got bad news from the mechanic today. One of my motors is shot. And looking like a rebuild may not be an option. It threw a rod from the crank shaft and actually punctured a hole in the oil pan. Ouch!
Soooo, any advice out there on re-powering our 370s? Mines a 95 with carb motors so looking forward to fuel injection if that’s a possible upgrade. Mechanic is looking around for possible rebuilds this week to just change out the one motor...
All comments are welcome.
In the process of purchasing a 97 370DA with twin cats. Happy to see all this info about 370’s!View attachment 59625

Hope the survey goes well she looks nice. I have the 380 hp horizons but this boat would be incredible with the diesels. In the process of purchasing a 97 370DA with twin cats. Happy to see all this info about 370’s!View attachment 59625
Twin diesels are a rare find for a 370. Probably reflects in the purchase price. Here’s to hoping your survey comes 9ut well. Welcome to the 370 thread.
