Official 370 Sundancer thread

I actually put a inverter at the helm inside the dash. I also have a TV in the aft cabin and in the forward birth on the right hand side wall as you walk in Opposite of the pocket door. All working on fire TV with Comcast Wi-Fi in the boat it is spectacular

I considered the same however the number of times we would need to use it at that location is pretty small. I am, however, planning on installing my 2000 Watt inverter under the wet bar for the cockpit refrigerator and that TV.

If you have any hot tips on the install, I am all eyes...

I don’t but good luck! lol…. Here are a couple pictures of the forward and aft TVs Forward birth I added the outlet above the locker. Forward birth because the bracket and TV are so lite I used small about quarter inch screws so it does not impede the pocket door.

The PO has a mount on the port side for a small TV. Don't think it will get used, but possibly! We officially have as many TVs on board as we have in the whole house.

I am still finding satellite and cable TV runs all over the boat. The PO clearly enjoyed television.

That size is just about perfect. Tapped power from the helm outlet. All good there. The endless list of things to do moves on...

here’s an obscure but somewhat related question for the group. There’s an HDMI cable to my TV in that spot, another HDMI cable to my TV in the master, and a HDMI splitter where the TV used to be in the salon. Where/what did the other leg of HDMI go and hook up to? I can’t figure out the POs setup.

Here is my guess. DVD player possibly or something of the like that he put into a HDMI splitter (like an A/B switch) to toggle between TVs or all TV’s at once whatever content he was playing. Make sense?

I see what ur saying - just can’t figure out where the dvd or cable box might be. All the TVs are smart and stream, so there’s entertainment on them. I just gotta figure out where the last HDMI leg goes. Has to do something interesting because I’m sure it was a PITA getting those cables in there.

That would be my guess as well. The good old days of cable runs from hell.

Looked today like there’s a HDMI outlet in the aft stateroom that feeds up to a splitter in the salon, which goes to the tv in the back of the salon and the tv in the forward stateroom. I’m guessing a dvd was used in the aft stateroom that fed to both TVs or something like that. Probably old tech pre streaming I’m going to guess. I’ll leave it for now, but guessing it’s useless. Wireless streaming changed everything.

Sure has. I don't think I'd even bother with TVs on board if I had to run cables all over the place. Just not worth it.

I am even a little meh about doing the one in the cockpit. The PO just mounted it and never bothered to run the cables, they were just out in the open.

my wife has really been down on the idea of me mounting a TV to the inside of the arch over the sink. She says it looks cluttered and she likes tv much more than I do.

Exactly. I was going to say it’s probably old school stuff from some years back. All my TVs are either on AppleTV module or Fire TV’s. You can now pick up a Fire TV I think they’re 26 inch for $100. Insignia brand.

I have a couple of satellite receivers and 2 DVD/VHS players if you wanna kick it old skooL!! Just let me know. :)

No thanks but appreciate the offer. We already took your heart when the Eagles beat you (Vikings) before they won the Super Bowl in 2017/2018 season. Ha
I am lucky and happy to be immune to the disappointment that is MN Vikings football.

Really? I totally enjoy sitting on the dock with a TV on the arch with a articulating arm watching any ball game that’s on.

I didn’t say it makes any sense. I’ve already had to add about 2000 lbs of pillows to this boat already this year. We’ve probably lost 2 kts top end just with that fluffy bullshit. I can’t work on anything without having to move a pile of pillows. Why can’t women like cool shit like TVs?

I count no less than 13 throw pillows. Great, the pillows have a place to sit but what about me? Where do I sit? Why can’t I sit on my own boat… no I have to stand. Just not fair.

PO had 21 throw pillows onboard. We urged them to take them all with them…

Just wait until your wife finds out about these poofy things you can put your feat up on.

Pillows and other clutter are the bane of my boating existence.
