Official 350 Thread

Man list still uncompleted.
Gel Coat guy looks to have bailed on us. Oh well. Might have to try finishing myself..... Ugh not.....
So.... The to do list prior to splash is alive.
- Order replacement tides marine dripless hoses and housings. Waiting on part numbers from Dave at Tides.
- Wire up the wet sounds stereo at the helm.
- Figure out reason why the Bennett trim tab system quit working following actuator replacement.
- Plumb in the fresh water and install the aft sink/fridge. Trying to figure out how to convert to pex system from the non supported Polybutylene
- Fix leaks on cabin slide windows. Taylor Made basically won't talk to me and said to call my local sea ray dealer.

Today is April 6th 2024. My 90 350 is on stands at the house. Projects include, Under water lights, fix of 40 or so blisters, bottom paint, install Air mar B619 transducer for the new Garmin, UHD 93SV, New deck upolstry, New black canvas. wiring clean up with side panels off. Rudder angle indicator, New FP Marine panel, New complete faria engine gauges, New el panels that light up my new FP marine panels. Installed a 2 bank 15 amp X2 house and start battery charger. Wash down pump connected to what was once the waste discharge now an inlet source. Fixing exhaust area gel-coat cracks. Removed holding tank, cleaned, replaced hoses and getting floats working again.
Much more just drawing a blank. Oh, New tides marine new style dripless. Replaced both cutlass bearings, Hopeful splash in 3 or so weeks.
Hey Bud, you have a link for the Faria gauges? I have new FP Panels and new upholstery to replace the blue vinyl at the helm. I also am in the process of mounting a new transducer with stand alone depth gauge to get rid of the Tridata system completely. Keep me posted on the progress of the gel-coat cracks around the exhaust. I really think I want to do this before splash. Thanks.

Bottom painted and waxed. Above the rub rail still dirty, but almost ready to splash!

Wow,
Your 350 hull looks new by comparison to ours.
I purchased the Faria Gauges through Marine Parts Source

Thank you Beech2000. Lots of scrubbing the Ohio River dirt off last year! Let me know how the guages go. I may do mine soon.

Do your fuel gauges work?
Mine didn't. Turns out both sending units were faulty. Have you changed yours yet?
I went with Centroid Products 2 wire sending units. Ultra painful business experience and not easy to replace but ultimately a great product. With the new Faria gauges I now know how much non-ethanol gas is aboard. Finally.

Mine do not. I just kept adding gas last year until they we full. Now I have full tanks, non-working sending units or guages, and a port engine that would barely run until I switched it to the other tank and then it ran fine until I get on plane and it loses power. I started with new fuel filters so was it a dirty tank, bad gas, now why no power when I had it before? Clogged filter, line, fouled plugs, bad high pressure fuel pump? I'm starting with checking lines, changing filters again, and changing plugs and wires and we will see.....

Also, what kind of sending units were in your tanks before? Did they bend and articulate or just straight shafts? Looks tight to get either one out.

The port was factory swing arm with cork float. Access is by removing lower port side panel and removing a starboard plate just before entering cabin. Lots of room to install a straight type sending unit.

The Stbd was not factory and looked to be a universal type with an adjustable nylon swing arm. Hoaky and did not work. Access is inside aft cabin in the stbd storage space by removing the mirror and the floorboard. Swing type sending unit or a very skinny straight probe such as the Centroid Products. A straight type float will not work as a small amount of tweak bending is required on the stbd side.
Good luck dealing with Centroid the lady whom takes the orders needs to retire.

I used to keep my tanks full until I did the math and realized that's over 1500 pounds of fuel and I took on a bad batch as well one time with no way to get rid of that amount. Big ordeal. So now that the gauges work I'll keep tanks no more than 1/2 full which is plenty.

Update
New tides marine drippless installes. Shafts and new cutlass bearings and 4 blade props installed.
All deck interior installed except the aft facing bench lower cusion.
Helm all done. Leak doind in cabin under sink.
Splash scheduled May 11

So jealous,
We splash on May 11th. Still much to do.
Have you removed the carpet in the cabin? If so what did you use?
No carpet is still original blue. Some wear and a couple small stains, but its further down the list! I really need canvas in the next 2 years. Anyone know a guy? or girl?

I just had ours replaced it was 90s maroon colored but in very good shape.
Now all black and we have dual option. An all glass camper enclosure such as you or the canvas enclosure which works well in the winter.
Cost around $9000 all in.
Super nice now I can remove the entire canvas and put it back up from inside. I was never able to do that prior to snap tightnessnes
