Official 320 Dancer Thread

Yeah any pics , does it have a white dash ..... I sold my 2006 it had twin 350's with bravo 3s on her , God what a boat that was handle like a sports car , if you look back in this thread far enough you see pics of it sitting on her custom made trailer .

Boltman

No pics yet and the broker took down the ones that were online; it doesn't seem right to send out pictures of her while she's still up on stands and under wraps, it's not her best look... Soon though. The dash is tan boltman, how come? Just three more weeks till she's back in the river

My boat is in storage but I know at the widest point it's a queen (60"). Can't help you with the length.

Does anyone know where the junction boxes pictured might be located? Trying to install a vesselview. Hoping they exist on my boat and all the downhill connections as well.

Has anyone removed the water heater? Do I need to remove the manifold and riser or is possible to shimmy it between the riser or waist tank? Thanks

U don't have to separate the riser from the manifold. You can always take both pieces off as one piece...

The return nippple to the engine had a pinhole leak and was spraying water all over the distributer. I bypassed it last season after it happened but it's nice to have hot water without the generator. So I am replacing it this year.

I have a set of black front isinglass curtains (3 piece) that are brand new from Great Lakes Canvas. If anyone was considering buying new black canvas for their 320 let me know. Make me an offer. I paid $350 for the set but will take much less if interested.

Unbelievable how much dialed in props help... I have 6.2 inboards turning 3 blade 17 x 18 Hytourqs. when i got this boat i ran it from Annapolis Maryland to Barnigate bay NJ... I was running 19 knots at cruse RPM 3800... thing was a dog and blew through the fuel... Literally was giving me buyers remorse! Anyway at WOT guardian would kicking due to the high RPM's that's how bad the props were... I had the props tuned by Atlantis propeller in south jersey twice... once in the middle of the season (had a diver pull them) and again during the off season.. first tune i picked up 3 knots and was cruising at 21 fully loaded at 3800 RPM's... I generally travel with a viking sport cruser and a 410 DA who are alwas hanging around 24 knots so id be constinatly pushing the boat to 4k... not ideal in the name of efficiency. BTW, Guardian is still kicking in at WOT... So during the off season i had the props sent out again. I couldn't wait to see the results finally was able to splash the boat last week and make a few passes with the new tune on the blades... I was so fed up with the WOT alarm i hired a tech from the Brick marine max to take a ride ensuring i could get the code at WOT when it rang off... long story semi short.... no code no alarm perfect WOT RPM range (little on the high side according to the tech but still in range) and a 25-26 knot cruse at 3800 RPM!!! the tech told me that i should actually be running the boat closer to 4k RPMS which i thought was strage... anyway in the past i had asked what guys were running on here and if i recall majority stated around 21-22 knts... its possible to get more apparently. Is anyone else running this speed at 3800 with inboards? interested in knowing your GPH

Thanks...
(i have the paper work if anyone's interested in the specs PM me)

Wow. That's great performance. I'm in the 21 knot range at 3800 and lost performance after I nicked a prop and had them fixed.

Where do you guys store your bow pad? Is there a hiding spot I don't know about or should I just throw it on one of the berths when I'm not using it?

Thats awesome!! I have often thought about doing the same thing except I am not sure I have the woodworking skills to pull it off. Any chance you wana make another one?? :smt038

I own a 2005 320 Sundancer.
I Need to or perhaps better yet, replace the refrigerator in the cabin. It came with a norcold de0051. The fridge started acting up last season and isn't working now as I'm starting the new season.

My wife would like a larger capacity fridge, but I'm not sure what the maximum size unit would be for the boat?

I purchased a set of 4 blade ACME props from Ray at Atlantis Propeller 2 years ago. My original 3 blade OEM props were 18x18.5 x 3.55 cupped rh and 18x 19 x 3.55 cupped LH. I used to get 24.8 knots at 3950 RPMs I can't find the specs on the new props but I do remember that they are 17" not 18". With a clean bottom and and full fuel, I am now getting 24 knots at 4,000 RPMs burning 30.5 gallons per hour. I am probably giving up some top end speed with the 4 blades, but the smoothness of them at at any RPM is amazing. Absolutely vibration free. With the 3 blades (fully tuned) I would get some vibration when getting on plane. Not sure why Boat Test had a boat with 17x21.3 props, and searay shipped 18x18.5 but my guess is the boat performed better with limited weight with those props for the test and would be over propped in a real life example (ie, generator, full fuel, etc.)
