Official 320 Dancer Thread

Can any one tell me where to locate the pitot sensor on my 6.2 mx horizon engine. I am getting a smartcraft alarm and it states "fault pitot". Boat has v drives...was hoping to swap from other engine to see if alarm goes away. Noticed that the engine needs a little throttle to start now that this issue/alarm was tripped. Engine stalls if I let rpms fall beleow 800-900 any guidance would be helpful.

Officially a 320 owner! Mara trial went well had some gals temp readings on the gauges that almost crushed the deal:-( however we were able to shoot the sending units and risers and found gauges reading 20-30 degrees off. Cleaned terminals and all is good! I'm actually on the second leg of my trip home and am thinking my props are undersized. Boat runs 5200 at WOT... Should be between 4800-5000 according to the manual. I'm pretty sure this is crushing my fuel economy. Hoping some other 320 sundancer owners can through some knowlege. Hers how I'm doing. Ran 6 hrs yesterday burned 172 gallons.... Rand between 3900 and 4000 rpms and was only getting 20 knots... This is a 6.2 vdrive. I'm thinking the re-prop should fix this. Going for the 4 blades. Does this sound like the right thing to do? Also is there any 6.2 vdrive owners that have this dialed in and could tell me what kind of cruse burn rate I should be looking to acchieve
Congrats on your boat. I am with MAKC with my cruise around 3700 to 3800, 25 mph, with nmpg around .88.

Just wanted to answer my own question. That pitot fault was due to me performing a master reset on the smartcraft guages, boat has paddle wheel, adjusted the Smartcraft settingng to reflect this and away went that alarm. As far as the check engine alarm with 2 beeps every other minute, turns out to be an idle air controller. Swapped the port iac to the starboard engine and voila! No more check engine message or alarms. Need to go to the marine store for a new iac and two gaskets. Hope this helps someone else in the future!!

Thanks MAKC thanks Smokeio yea so I'm averaging .66 NMPG and cursing at 19-20 knots. Looked at my survey and it appears that my prop size is 18 x 19. Does this size sound right. I'm not sure if having the props re shaped will improve my efficiency that much. What are your guys thoughts. I'm planning on calling Sea Ray later today.

Thanks for all the info it really helps.

Hi All:

Can anyone tell me how you remove this left hand panel from the dash of my 320. I've replaced my Chartplotter but need to get at the mounting screws in the back to tighten them and the only way to reach them is through this panel. Does the Burgundy cover around the rubber button covers just pop off or what?

Spring commissioning is kicking my a$$. Now I'm at the mercy UPS to deliver parts that my local shops didn't have. This SUCKS as all of my marina buddies are enjoying the water and I'm still on land. Did I mention this SUCKS.....

Remove the center panel, right behind the steering wheel, then reach behind that panel and you will find about five small nuts and washers on threaded rods connected to the panel.

Prop size sounds right but your NMPG is low (not that .88 is great!).

Thanks Jeff. I was about to try to pry the outside cover off. Probably would have broken it. I'll try your method.

Soon to be a 2007 320 owner! This will be my first SeaRay! I am extremely excited! She needs some TLC, but that is it! Does anyone have the part numbers for zincs on the stern and trim tabs? Looking to order from Boatzincs.com.

Anyone know what this switch does? I may be sliiiightly off in my rendering........ Its on the panel just above the throttles.

It's the water pressure switch for the aft shower. My boat used the main water pump so it's not connected or used on my boat.

Thanks IPVANAM! That illustration perfect says to me "aft shower". Mine must use the main water pump as well.

Has anyone used the Hurley Option 2 (H20) to mount a dinghy on the 320? Or have the measurement of their swim platform handy? I recently purchased a dinghy and want to use this solution to mount the ding however when I went to order I apparently need the deck measurement to buy the appropriate set up. Obviously I would take the measurements my self however I wont be able to get to my boat for another week.... looking for CSR shot cut lol Please let me know if you have herd good or bad things about this set up... also considering the trick davit system...

Lol. Thanks SeaAyeOwe! MS paint should get all the credit :)

Yes, I had the same problem last year, and suddenly all lights on, some lights didn't turn off, I took the panel off and I saw a lot or several craks, I took it to Sea Ray dealer MarineMax, they told me the panel is bad, so I replace the two panels, now everything is working fine. Those panels when they go bad the only way is to replace it with new ones, after a year everything is working fine.
