Official 320 Dancer Thread

Hey Scuma, your timing is perfect. I just did a whole lighting survey on the weekend. I converted my previous boat, a 370 aft cabin to all LED's an it looks awesome, so just starting to do it with my 320. So here's what you need;
42mm Festoon LED's for Swim platform x 1, Cockpit lower lights x 3, Radar Arch x 2, Transom Locker x 1, total 7 of these. Pics attached.
G4 pin type Lamps. Reading spot lights x 3, Bathroom x 2, Main salon x 2. total 7 of these.
Wedge style LED lamps, salon floor level lighting x 2 of these in total.
You can pick these up from Amazon for $3.99 each, stay away from places like West Marine, or your local marina, you end up paying $19 each. Ouch.
I also got 2 x ball style spot lights in the salon, which i've not figured out how to dismantle yet, but watch this space. That should get you going, and they look incredible.

Hi:

I also am doing exactly that ....replacing all lights. I have two questions.
First my boat is a 2004 model. Do you think the replacement lights would be the same? Secondly do you have the actual numbers from the G4 bulbs and the Wedge bulb. I could not find either of them on Amazon for pricing.

Thanks

Are the bulbs shown in the pics the actual ones your using? I've noticed they come in several options per the number of LEDs. I.e. the 42mm come in 3 led, 6 led, ect.

Yes they are the actual ones. Ref the 42mm festoon bulbs. Don't get carried away with the amount of Led's. my last boat had 8 LEDs per bulb and I could turn them on at night. It was blinding. I would err on the low side if your concerned. But for the prices of 3 or 4 bucks, you can buy a few different ones to see what works best for you. I should also point out that the wedge lamps can also be used in the G4 sockets if you bend out the pins of the wedge lamps. It's a great backup and they're cheaper also.

Thanks for the info!

I haven't done much research on which ones I have but assume the festoon ones are what I need for the plastic covered lights with the sliding switch?

BJAC, my Sundancer is a 2004, so yours should be the same.
Ref finding them on Amazon, links below for the ones i bought.

i hope this helps.

Mike, thanks for the info. Looks like we have twins (boats that is) also it's rare to converse with another Ontarian.
I have ordered all the bulbs from the links you provided. Great savings on these. We just bought our 320 at the end of last summer so we are still getting used to all the room and extra amenities on board.
Thanks again.

Has anyone found a replacement horn for the 32' s. Im really not interested in going for a air system or changing the mounts just I horn that I can slap in without making a project out of it.

I folks. Just bought a 2004 320DA at the tail of last year. Getting ready for this season. Has anybody tried installing a barbecue grill mount on it? The natural place looks like the swim ladder cover, but I want the ladder accessible during the afternoons. Thinking about rear left of the swim platform. Any thoughts?

I mounted a standard stainless steel rod holder on the grab bar handle for the transom locker. When I want to grill, I take out my kettle grill from the port side storage underseat and stick it in the rod holder. Its worked great for me for the last couple years, I stand mostly on the swim step when I grill and it doesn't interfere with my guests seating arrangements or put much smoke into the cockpit. I don't prefer to permanently mount the grill so I take it off, wash it out and put it back in storage when I am done with it. Just another idea.

I gotta do the same. Mine is shot! Doing a few other things first and then I'll be looking into that. If I find anything good, I'll let you know

It is a Sea Choice horn. Bought mine at Boat Fix. Only place I could find it. It is identical drop in horn and it is only $22.

Skolbe I think boat fix is no long with us but I do see other people that sell them.

I don't see anyone that sells a dual or double horn for $22 more like $50 ish.

Has anyone out there with a 320 tried to remove the 3 header cushions that surround the v-birth to gain a little more room, modernize the interior? If so, how do they fasten in there? I believe the side ones can be accessed via screws in the upper cupboards, but how do you loosen the forward one that is up against the mirror? Any help or opinions on this is welcome.

New to us 320 DA here! Yay!

Regs here in Canada require us to carry a 24" life buoy with 50' line aboard. Where to people put these? Its seems too large to hang from the bow rail and barely fits in the transom locker making it difficlt to get anything else in or out...any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

Dash repair help

Have the tan dash with a very minor crack (cosmetic). Anyone know of caulk or similar that will match color that I can use?
Thanks!

Find a place that sells and installs Formica laminate counter tops(not Home Depot or Lowes). They have lots of different colors they use to join seams. Had to look very close to see the repair.
