Official 320 Dancer Thread

Hey guys...looking for some advice. Stereo worked fine last night and today, nothing. Switch on the power panel is on, amp is showing power, and all fuses I can find related to the stereo seem fine. Help. Much appreciated.

Check the Mute button on the remote control at the helm.

power button at the - upper right hand side of helm needs to be on as well as power button on the stereo unit-should do the trick

Not it. The head unit, speakers and the helm remote are not getting any power.
Did you sleep walk and turn off the battery switches under the DC breaker panel? Are any of the breakers on that DC breaker panel popped? Is the Stereo breaker on the Forward EIM popped out?

That's all I got for ideas.

New to me boat so bear with me. Batteries are on, is the forward EIM under the dash? If yes, nothing popped there. Thanks.

Yup - you got it right. So the little light next to the speaker icon on the switchpad is lighting up when you push it, correct? If so, that would mean you have good power up to the switch. Sounds like the problem is with your head unit. What brand/model is the head unit?

On this Eim

Which should be to above right of your steering wheel there is a button with a speaker on it.

On my 340 I also have two rocker switches that turn the speakers on and off on the port side just inside my cabin door

there is a power button on the face of the Clarion-that has to be on as well as the power button [speaker icon] at the helm

just to the left of the picture you posted and abouve the arch light button

320DA owners, in searching for your 320 are there any particular reasons why you chose the 320 over the 340DA? I have not yet made the decision. Looking at both, and found likes and dislikes on both. Haven't really been able to clearly set one apart from the other but I am early in the search (target is 6-9 months). My target years are '04-'07 for either.

usually comes down to $$$ but some differences that may sway someone to a 320 might be: a lower swim platform - easier to carry a tender and some people prefer the looks over the "integrated" one on your target years 340; port side "lounger/bench seat" as opposed to the forward facing "bucket" in the 340; adaquately powered by small blocks (340s of those years come with the thirstier big blocks)....As always, test the boat you intend to by, loaded as you intend to use it. What important to one boater, is not necessasarily important to another.

I note your boat is a 300DA with Bravo IIIs. I am trying to be methodical. Both v-drives and Bravo IIIs have pros and cons for me and really need to think it through for my use purposes (and actually what I will be using it for MOST frequently). Salt water usage is a negative but with those drives I can get in to a lot of shallow anchorages and closer to the beaches than I'd be willing with v-drives. Have considered a lift but that's a lot of $$. If I make the decision to go outdrives I will be choosing between a '05-06 300DA vs a '07-08 310DA (big price difference there). If the v-drives it is the 320DA vs the 340DA (price difference not quite as pronounced). How do you like your 300? After looking at the 300 and 310, the 310 is noticeably bigger but it is also noticeably more expensive and I am not convinced at this stage that much bigger to justify the price differential I'd have to pay.

So I started a thread about a possible upgrade from my 2001 280 to a 2003 320,,, let me just say I really really really want this to happen. So, my wife has agreed to the upgrade but when she got on a 320 for the first time ever she didn't love it. Intact she really wasn't happy with the cockpit layout at all. The port side lounger on our 280 is very large, shaded and functional. On the 320 on the other hand it is so small and functions as neither a lounger or a seat and it may as well not even be there. The boat we looked at had the standard slope back aft curtain which only offers two sun shades and little shade on the aft seats. So, I can't fix the lounger but after reading all 1300+ posts in the 320 thread I have learned that the 3rd sun shade/camper canvas option is do'able. My question to those who have done this is how well does the camper canvas function with just the aft sun shade up?? Don't get me wrong,,,,, I would have written an offer on this 320 TODAY,, but as I said, my wife didn't LOVE it like I did. HELP

We use the port lounger all the time, it's a nice comfortable spot to read. To each his own I guess.

The camper canvas is a must have IMHO. We run without the canvas up when it is hot (late June - early Sep) but carry it rolled up onboard (large center locker in the cabin is a good place to store the rolled up canvas BTW). It's nice to be able to put it up if it is going to rain. The camper bimini stays up all the time, it provides good shade and makes the cockpit much more useful.

Be aware that adding a camper canvas setup to a boat that doesn't have it will be expensive.

We bought our 320 because the wife loved the lounger. and the camper back is a must have. My buddy just had it done on his and leaves the top up all the time it shades the entire cockpit he has screens installed as well so when it's all closed up you still get air flow. It's very nicely done. You'll love the boat. we did. Good luck

We love ours and when i replaced canvas, i extended bimini top two feet to decrease the angle of the back, but not a full camper enclosure. The extra support rods are on the arch, so no obstructions on the side. PM me with email i can send pictures if you want.

Like I mentioned in your other thread we are in the process of adding the camper enclosed. One set of glass and one set of screens.

By the way, anyone have a measurement of the front mattress? I know it is not square but trying to buy a piece of memory foam and will trim. Just need a max dimension. Much appreciated.
