Official 320 Dancer Thread

Love the Flooring - would like to know how you did it and what the story is - interested in learning about it.

PS - I did the same fridge upgrade and it also went flawlessly and was super easy upgrade. Although I bought the fridges in Feb and installed in May and when I opened it there was a ding in the door - nothing I could do - sucks for $1000 fridge.
The company I used was https://www.tampabayyachtmasters.com/interior/, they did a great job, and they will also sell you just the flooring for self install.

One of the best upgrades/fixes I’ve done so far. New fridge for galley. Super easy, fits right in. I forgot to bring a standard PC cable for the 120v, but I’ll do that next time I’m down. There is a 120v outlet right behind it to plug into.

Wow! Looks great! And I agree that the steps and flooring looks really good.

Warning Label Replacement

Does anyone know where a set of replacement stickers can be had - have a 2003 Sea Ray 320 - just finished a refurb these stickers look old with all the new and was hoping to replace - would be happy to buy a whole set - but specifically looking for the ones circled in red - removed old and left a mark - want to replace

It’s not as pretty as the Sea Ray label, but I found this one.

Just in case anyone decides to upgrade the arch speakers...I bought the Rockford 6 1/2" punch series speakers. They are too deep to fit in the arch. They do make spacers though. so my install was halted till they arrive....Wish I had them all ready to go.

Ahh..Thats a great idea. Unfortunately RF is not making the white marine speakers right now...only black according to Crutchfield. I had to get them thru Amazon. I got them a couple months ago and window for returns is over. Great idea though!

I have both the 6.5s and 8s with a RF 10” sub and they will drive you out of the boat. Im going to add another set of each and have a custom fiberglass enclosure made to add a second sub back where that useless compartment is back by the transom door. Cant go wrong with RF IMO

Agree....I had RF in my last boat and the sound is not only loud but precise. Doing almost the same in this one.
RF amp
RF 10" sub
4 RF 6 1/2 arch/helm speakers.

Going to look at new boats today and have it narrowed down to a 2003-2008 320 or 340. What, besides price should be the determining factor? My buddy is selling an immaculate 06 320 with only 240 original hours, he’s owned it 3 years no problems. I can probably get it for 80-85k, which is a good deal on a great boat.

What price would a 340 have to be before you would say “get the 340?” They are all listed around 115-120 around me (Michigan) it seems. Even if I got it down to 110, 30k extra doesn’t seem worth it for another couple feet and a bigger v-berth and fridge...

Thanks!

I love my 320. That being said - the 340 is even nicer. But the dollars were hard for me to personally justify but clearly not everyone since many people also bought a 340 - both were great selling boats for Sea Ray. I have an 07 - freshwater 320 - original owner - very well kept and I would hope to get $90k minimum for mine. That being said I don't know what I would buy. Everything I like is 2 times (plus) the value of my boat.

Some (including myself) feel the 320 with the v-drive 300hp configuration is underpowered for a boat that size. The 340 with the 8.1 v-drive are like rocketships.

Have you been on a 340? I was amazed at the size difference. Ultimately, for me, it was about storage options. With the 340, I found no one who would keep it in dry storage, either fork lift not strong enough, or maneuvering conditions, one location wouldn’t take my 320 or a 340 because of the speed bumps between the barn and the launch site. The 320, with v-drives, offered me the ability to keep it in several dry storage racks, and could always get the bottom re-painted and keep in a wet slip, and of course price was much better.

Knowing what i know now after owning the 320, I would go for the 340. The bump in space and speed is worth it in my eyes (mostly the space). I think you could stay in a 340 a bit longer than a 320. We had 3 kids so it got small very quickly as the kids got bigger. Not sure about your area but have seen the 340's going for under 100k. Keep in mind most listed now are over priced. Those listed 115-120k are competing with newer 330 which is a different boat as far as fit and finish.

For me it was the seating arrangement and the swim platform. I spend a lot of time anchored and liked the lower platform. especially with a dog.Front seating is awkward for me on the 340. Can't face the rear or even turn your legs sideways on the port or helm seat because of the bolsters. 8.1's are definitely a upgrade. Bed is a little shorter on the 320. I have no issues with the performance of the small blocks. Will run all day at 3800. Head is the same. Both are good. Just depends on your preference. I am happy with my choice.

Agree with 4 boys aged 5-9, the lower swim platform is a huge plus for me. And I love the passenger seat on the 32, not sure why the 34 isn't the same (or any other model for that matter).

What do you cruise at running 3800 and how much fuel do you burn? I'm guessing about .8-.9 mpg like others I've seen?

I think if the prices were closer I'd go with the 34, but I can't justify spending 30k more right this minute. Unless I thought I was going to keep the boat for 10 years, which I know I won't lol!

6.2 mags with bravo 3’s I cruise exactly 30mph at 3,600 rpm. Will touch 40mph wide open. Outdrives would be more efficient, better speed. Wouldnt consider drives if i was wet slipping in salt. And we love our boat, I wouldn’t trade it straight up for a like 340.

24mph .9mpg is the norm. I would love a 340 set up like the 320 too.

Two much salt settling/corroding the I/O?

I'm looking at both the I/O and V-Drive 2005 to 2007 years of the 320. Why did you pick the I/O?
