Official 280 Sundancer Thread

I have a 2002 280 for sale with 300 hrs on one motor and 20 on the starboard side (was replaced last year). Only asking $42k for mine. It's located on the Potomac River in Woodbridge VA. PM me for more info. It also has brand new black Sunbrella canvas too.

PM sent.

P1000958.jpg Not sure if these pics will come thru or not but just finished installing 40 ft of mirage flooring in my cabin. Very labor intensive, as there was much grinding and filling to get the floor level. Cost was about $700 for the flooring, bostik glue and a gallon and a half of body filler. This is a high grade, 6 ply flooring product that held up very well to my water submersion test.

Looks awesome! Where did you buy the flooring from? Got any pics of the work while in progess? I'd like to see what it looked like with the rug out and what needed to be leveled.

my two tan sunbrella sun shades that affix to my radar arch are now almost 9 years old and are showing their age. Does anyone know if the Greatlakes canvas sale they run on our Forum has come and gone or is it coming up? Anyway has anyone replaceed these two pcs on their boat this year and do you know what you paid? much thanks...

Tonka.. Saw your ap in boating magazine. Nice

Thanks! I noticed in the March issue that they have a new "App of the Month" section so I contacted them about running my app. It's fun to see it in print.

Two season ago I upgraded my cockpit speakers to JL 7.7" speakers and added the JL 10" sub in the factory location behind the captains chair. It sounds great but I would like to add another 2 speakers and possibly another sub. Has anyone added speakers and/or a sub outside of the factory openings? If so, where did you put them? I don't want to hang speakers from the arch.

Tonka,

Any updates planned? It would be great if you could make reports by boat type?

Well I have to admit that I am jumping ship. I have just made a deal and trading my 280 for a 2004 Formula 37PC. It all started out by looking at moving up to a 320 or 340. Came across a beautiful 2004 37PC that was priced right. Quality, performance, and workmanship in these boats are excellent.
I really appreciate all the help and insight shared with me over the last two years. I plan to stay close to this forum because there is still lots of learning that is not Sea Ray specific.

Hopefully this is our last move for a long while. This will be our 3rd boat in a year and half.

Yes, I have tons of updates in the works including boat-specific reports. I'm a two man show so it's not easy keeping up with all of the requests. I have a roadmap planned for the next 18 months and I'm working on an iPad version at the moment. I have it designed but I am re-doing all of the graphics to take advantage of the new iPads retina display. I'm also required to update the graphics on the iPhone version. It's a challenge just keeping up with Apple's minimum requirements in addition to designing new features.

I'm working on them as fast as I can!

Jet, Good luck and congrats w/the Formula, they make an exceptional boat!! My dad had a 75 I believe F-20 Signa (their loaded one), I loved that boat and it would haul the mail too!!

Hello Everyone -

Congrats Jetmart.....folks across the way on our dock have a beautiful 34' Formula....

On a different note, I'm taking delivery of a trailer for our 280 in a week or so.....what is the opinion of folks for appropriate length of trailer tie downs that I'll need to buy? :smt017

Congratulations, on your new vessel. I have had an eye on a 31PC for a while now. Will we see pics? :)
