Wiring for a 280DA and a few other Qs
First post here so I apologize if I'm in the wrong area.
First ...
I have a 89 28' Sundancer ... someone was kind enough to relieve me of my dash gauges and it looks like they tried to pull the gen out where they had cut several of the wires.
I have contacted SeaRay and was told to contact a dealer, called the dealer and was told they would have to contact SeaRay. :smt021
Finally got an email stating there is no wiring schematic for the 280DA.
This sounds amazingly thoughtless and unprofessional as I have never had a vessel I couldn't get some kind of wiring diagram for.
Is this true? no wiring diagram for the 89 28 SeaRay???
Second ...
What I ideally need is the wiring diagram for the perko switches that reside in the gen well ... all those lines were cut, including the wires that feed up into the little six breaker box there.
What I have is the twin engine 5.7 where 2 batteries are sitting next to the starboard engine and the other battery sits just aft of the gen. I know the aft switch was an on/off and the forward switch is a selector switch. I just want to be sure I reconnect all this correctly.:smt100
Third ... and probably the most puzzling for me.
The vent motor between the head and the mid cabin has given up the ghost. Problem is I cannot figure out how to get in to it to replace it. Have considered making an access panel from the mid cabin which wouldn't be to difficult. Pulling the cap to replace the motor would be insane. :smt101
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
One more thing ...
Where can I find an engine cover??? we were out on the water checking the bilge pumps in the engine compartment and dim wit (name in relation withheld to protect the feelings of the guilty) sat the cover on the swim platform ... it just vanished!!! and now rests somewhere outside of Ponce Inlet.
There were two but now just the one ... the one that got away will always be remembered ... it was always there when I needed it and never complained. I think of it often ... particularly when I have to leap over the gaping hole over the engines!:smt013
Debating whether to build a new set of engine covers out of deck planking and top it off with teak or something durable.
Thanks in advance all, Have a great day!!!
