Has anyone pressure tested their stainless risers for the 8.1 motors as part of preventative maintenance? I changed the manifold’s 3 years ago and have taken these off to make a visual inspection of the exhaust and saw the following. Im curious if this is indicating the welds are getting weak and leaking or if its condensation from the fluid in the fiberglass mufflers.

I don't know the answer to your question but I have some for my own personal knowledge. I replaced my manifolds several years ago and my risers appeared to be in excellent condition so I didn't replace the risers. If memory serves me correctly, I had a gasket, not what appears to be RTV on yours. Did the gasket material corrode your riser surface or is that the photo making the surface appear rough?

edit: I'm in fresh water.

Mine came with the turbulator/gasket as well I think that is what you see there. That was a high heat sealant that was used between the 2 gaskets that came with the kit.
