its sourcing the stainless that would be difficult for me. templating the bottom would be easy. the rear of mine is flat ha ha

Do you have access to the Internet and a credit card? That's how I got my stuff.

Ebay, Amazon, and some guy selling stainless square tube on the interwebz.

Starboard for the mounts and stainless tube for the struts.

I think I mentioned a while ago here about the carpets I was working on. I was tapped budget wise this year so new new marine carpets for me. I instead sewed a piping on $30 worth of Home Depot carpets. Here's the result

looks good. wife hates carpet on boats so im stuck constantly cleaning the floor

Thanks. I couldn't take it anymore with just the Nonskid it collects every spec of dirt. I do take the carpet out if others are onboard and were swimming though wet carpet is gross

How did you sew the binding on the carpet?
looks great

Bought some thick canvas style material at JoAnn fabrics and used my wife's little singer sewing machine. I found this video and followed the process. Pretty easy actually.

i think i used the same carpet with 3m spray adhesive for my little sea ray 170 acouple years ago. its actually really soft and durable stuff. way better than astroturf and less than half the price

Doesn't sound like much but chrome badges and new decals really made a difference I think. Last piece is to replace the 290 with a more modern don't, or we might go with "two-ninety" like on the big ones.

mine says 320 but has the old sun setting logo

I was joking with the neighbor the other day. While I was waxing and he was heckling me from the back of his 370... I told him I was rubbing it all day and it wouldn't get any bigger.

Re-upholstery Project!

Hey Guys, We decided this is the year to re-upholster our tired looking seats. Some of the parts like the rear bench come off easily but before going to town, I wonder if anyone else has done this project and has any insider tips?

Cheers!

I would imagine the help seat is screwed in from behind, that one will be somewhat blind. Someone else mentioned not long ago their port lounger was velcro'd down. If that's not the case, my guess is you will have to tear into the aft cabin ceiling to get at the bolts.

not sure if i posted this yet. Finished product. i have other ideas that i would change but this works for now. i can take better pictures in a few weeks.
