Official 1980's Weekender/Sundancer 300 thread

Send me whatever info you can, sometimes I can find some odd parts. We had Onans in the fire Dept and there maybe some parts hanging around the shops

The coil number is 160-0155 coil magneto. Thanks!!

The points and condensor are still avail.

Ok, we are getting somewhere. Can you send me a photo of the coil or a great discription please.

I haven't removed it yet. From what I understand it is similar to this...

I see the guy again on Friday...I think. Look for a post again by Sunday or so, he thinks he has one, just one.

No luck. His coil is different. We are still looking for that one or one that can replace it

Cool. I am going to mess with it more this weekend. Did you get yours running yet?

Yes, a wire had a nick in the insulation and was grounding out, blowing the fuses.

Mark, if this thing is discontinued you may have to do an engine replacement. Can you tell me anything more about your unit?

It's a single cylinder. 3600 rpm. What I have found is that a Kohler coil that's still available looks very similar. I am going to dig into more over the weekend. There is a video on YouTube, onan MAJB 3.0 so you can see what it looks like.

I don't think so. I believe it's an Onan built motor. Looks very similar to a kohler.

Yes, obsolete number.

I read on another forum that. Tecumseh coil will fit with a minor modification.
