I am ready to make a offer on a 1997 370 express cruiser. There is a section in the sales contract that stipulates additional terms that have been proposed buy the buyer. What are typical items that are listed? I am thinking of including fenders, dock lines, bedding that was shown on the boat, a specific place for delivery etc. I dint want to go over board but will if its typical.

I usually tell my clients that basic things are included with the boat. Items that would have come with the boat new, anything else is a bonus if thrown in.

Dock lines
Life Jackets
Safety Kit
Correct Power Cord(s)
Soft goods that came with the boat
Anything else that is a standout thats a deal breaker if its not included and double check the listing to see what it includes, if its not listed as included its probably not mandatory for them to leave anything without specifying. Most people are very reasonable including things with the boat.

I once had a guy almost not buy a 75K boat because 2 deck chairs ($200 MAX) weren't going to go with the boat after closing.

I had no contract when I bought my boat. We checked it out after agreeing on a price over the phone as the boat was in NJ and I am in NY.

I did not recieve the power cords but I did get the Magna Grill!! Then when I picked the boat up a couple of months later the PO also threw in his portable ice maker because his new boat had one. Everything seems to work out in the end, at least for me it did!!

"Additional terms" doesn't usually mean the just the throw-ins. I would use that space to write in your contract contingencies for hull survey, mechanical survey, sea trial, insurability, etc.
