Reinstalled the Mains and started bleeding the fuel rails using my pressure tester.

When I did this while bench testing the flow of fuel ran clear in only a 30 seconds or so.

In the boat, its having a hard time getting fuel to the cool fuel module then Lots of bubbles out of the tester tube. It starts to clear up and fuel pressure is good. (About 40 psi)

Started to head out and within a few minutes that starboard engine quits.
I could get it started, but it wouldn't do more than idle.
The Port engine seems fine. So Far

So I had installed water seperater / filters right near the tank.
I have taken the starboard one out to see if it would resolve this.
Also tried using the fuel pickup source for the generator. I think it was better.
I bled everything again.

So is there any common known issues with the pickup tubes?
I have very little room above the top of the tanks and the deck. So if the tubes are rigid I may have to cut and inspection port hole in the deck in the little cabinet below the sink in the cockpit.

So my wonder is how when you are changing fuel filters does air get out of the fuel system.
There is no return.
Does it have to bleed thru the injectors?
The only other way is at the port on the fuel rail and a tester?
