In case anyone is interested, although these parts are no longer made by Southco and therefore no longer available in the US, the same parts are still made by a company called Onmar that succeeded Southco when it closed operations in Sweden. I just obtained a replacement magnetic socket from Onmar. The internet ordering process was as easy with them as with any vendor in the US, and I received the part in less than a week. Their web site is https://www.onmar.se/en/deck-hardwares/flag-accessories.

Just out of curiosity, did I do the conversion correctly (based on that link)? Does the pricing convert to about $130USD? If I checked correctly, they are about $90 through your dealer.

Did something happen to your original one?

Sea Ray, Southco, Bisco, and Ugly Fish all told me they are not available. The flag poles are occasionally available at Great Lakes Skipper or on eBay, but not the socket. The old one was damaged. The price was about $95.

OK - so about the same price, that's good. Good info, too, on the homework!

Strange that you were told by Sea Ray (dealer?) that they were out of stock. I see close to 70 of them currently in stock. Weird.
