My water has that funny smell to it... :smt009
How do you sterilize the tank or get rid of the odor??
Thanks!

I have an antifreeze smell from the stuff they winterized my water lines with.... I cant get rid of it ...

The water lines absorbed the stink... I tried 2 x with water treatments... after water sits for a few minutes the smell returns..

They used a new antifreeze this year...

its not coming from my tank...

Ive tried everyting ... and weve used a ton water...

My 2 cents hope u have better luck ..

In the past, I've used about a half cup of bleach to a full tank, let it sit a couple of hours, and flush a couple of tankfuls with fresh water. It should do the trick...

I use an air compressor and blow all the water out of the boat so I have no "odd aromas" in the spring. Just have to be sure that you get ALL the water out of the system (that includes the head, shower sumps, and hot water heater). Been doing it like this for the past 5 years and would not go back to using the pink stuff for anything but the engines, generator, and A/C system. Just my $.02.

Step on the flush handle with all the other spigots off and continue to keep it opened until just air comes out. The small amount of water that is in the lines goes into the holding tank. I usually add a gallon of A/F to the holding tank thru the toilets just to be sure I have all the water out of the waist lines.

When I am finished (and it takes about 3 laps of all the water systems to be 100% sure) All that comes out of any of the water taps is the lovely swoosh of air.
