Any Utah boaters here?

Looks like I'm leaving the sunshine state and am heading for the mountains of Utah. Just wondering if there are any Utah boaters here. And where are all the great boating spots?

Your in for a treat! Lake Powell, words can't describe it.

I live in SLC and there are many, many lakes nearby for our hobby. Most boats are setup for altitude here, so you might want to look at that first. I am at 4500 in the valley and the lakes are anywhere from 4500 to 8000 feet. Rarely see powerboats on the Great Salt Lake, but it is doable. If you are relocating close, I would be more than happy to help you get situated to the boating scene. :smt001

Right on appreciate the response. My wife's family currently lives in Sandy, but we are going to move wherever the housing market affords us. I can't wait to go to Lake Powell. I have been searching the net looking for nice boating spots and that looks awesome.

I also saw that there is a Marine Max in SLC. Any opinions on them? Hopefully they are as nice as the one here. Either way, hope to see you guys on the water sometime.

Yeah, they are okay, but like all of them expensive.

The one here charges $95 an hour, they keep telling me that they are cheap. I hope SLC is cheaper.
