I have an older Raymarine RL70RC and the NT+ charts I have no longer work. I have purchased a new card reader for the unit and still have the same issue. Any ideas how to find out it the chart card is bad?

Do you have a card reader that you can connect to your computer? Take a look at the contents to verify all the correct files are present on the card.

had the same problem with my unit this spring charts would not come up and I thought it was the card or the reader. went to the Raymarine website blog and searched for no charts RL70C . in short I think it's running out of memory. Deleating tracks and waypoints seem to help and there's also a couple other settings but I can't recall .

I tried the Raymarine site and found some of the suggestions. i tried them last night but they did not help. I do not have a card reader so cannot work on my PC to see if the card has all of the appropriate files. The only other setting I saw on the site was plotter mode. I tried it both ways and it did not work.

go into the unit and turn the track mode off and delete the tracks also I think I did a master reset I'll be going down to the boat tonight and I'll try to get back with you on my settings also I highly doubt the card went bad

Thanks. I do not have tracks on and there were none to delete. I did remove all of the waypoints I had but that also did not help. I appreciate any other assistance.

Thank you for the offer. I am going to try a few more things first. If none work maybe I can meet you somewhere in Annapolis and we can put it in your reader to see what happens.

Any chance to meet you at your boat, if your nav device still takes NT+ cards and see if it works in your system. I am not far from you.

Hi, my devices are Raymarine C70s and take compact flash type cards. Does you card say what type it is? If your card is not compatible with the C70, you are welcome to borrow my multi card reader if that will help.

I know at least 1 boat around the corner from me that may use the NT+. I'll ping the captain and ask for access.

Thanks. Not sure if it is compatible. It is the NT+ card but don't know otherwise.

The physical format of the C MAP card for the RL series of Raymarine is proprietary or lets say non-traditional. It's not compact flash or SD or micro SD. Any reader that would work on a PC
would probably be an investment, not something you can pick up at the local computer store.

I would see if you can get someone on CSR (or your marina?) to loan you a different C MAP card. I sold my RL70CRC about a year ago, or I would have offered to loan you a card for test. - Good Luck.
