We caught about 30 of these today, near Block Island. and doesn't my new deck look good?

No kidding it looks good! Get that fish out of the way so I can see it better! :grin:
 
We used to fish those things out of Brenton Cove (Newport) when they would chase the bait fish up into the cove until they were trapped, then they would attack. The top of the water would turn white over a huge expanse and stay that way for quite a long time. You could catch them on anything once that started.
 
I hate bluefish. They bite fingers... bite soft plastic lures in half... and taste like crap... They are basically the "piranha" of the east coast.

They do put up a good fight though... just so you can get them close enough to the boat to shoot them.

Fighting some fish sure beats watching TV below deck all day :wow:
 
That's a bluefish? Damn - the mate on on the Block Island striper drift last week said they were Stripers and that we did great! I wondered about the lack of stripes, abundant sharp teeth, color, but I paid good money!
