I guess I should have posted this a while ago, sold my other boat last year and bought a 2001 180 searay bowrider I/O, the other was an outboard. We wanted something a little quieter and it is. I joined this site about a year ago, but I missed the "newbie" section, now I'm just searching to see how many others are from Ontario.....

Hi, welcome aboard. The 2001 180br is an awesome boat. Mine was built like a tank. I put it through the ringer with constant pounding on the Chesapeake and tidal Potomac. Not one stress crack. A very well built hull indeed. My 205, while a great boat which I love, not as solidly built. Thinner gelcoat and glass, flexes more on the same waters, and some minor stress cracks. Still a great boat.

You picked a winner with the 180 of that vintage. Mine was still so clean when I traded it back to Prince William Marine that the top exec at Sea Ray arranged a purchase for a neighbor and it is now on lake Tellico. The staff told me what an honor it was that happened. I was just happy it got a good home.

I hope you get years of enjoyment out of yours.
