Not a good start to the season in Missouri

wow that sucks.. but i dont understand something.. now were these people so drunk that they could not swim? Or was it just people who fell into the water and couldnt swim? I mean the article says 100 percent of it had to do with drinking.. but to fall off a boat and be that drunk you cant swim.. thats not good.. even in general.

OH yea let me add another thing.. this might get your mind off the deaths and put a smile on yoru face...

Over here in florida you can jump in a lake all you want but in a couple of minutes you will be jumping right back in the boat.. drunk or not... EVEN A DRUNK person knows what an ALLIGATOR looks like.. LOL.. i stay away from the lakes. :) Cheer up man the season will get better.

Intoxicated people are the single biggest danger on the water as far as I am concerned. Not only do they put their own lives at risk but they put others at risk as well. People need to wake up to the dangers of drinking to excess while on the water. As much as I hate to say it, maybe sobriety check points on the water ought to become standard fare.

Can't disagree with that one.

The sad part is that ALCOHOL and INEXPERIENCE are both dangerous. . .and tend to go together. I find the more experienced the person is. . the less they drink.

ON the gulf there are sheriff dept boats all over evern parked in the weeds waiting for people to come blasting by in a no wake zone.. i see alot of people getting pulled over .. this one "git r done" tried to run away form the sheriffs twim honda engin boat in a dam john boat with a 2 stroke like 10 hp outboard.. it was so funny cause the whole time the cop was right behind him and he just wouldnt stop.. lol.. he eventually ran out of gas and ended up walking back on the beach back to his pickup.. You had to see it to realize how funny it really was.. HE WAS DRUNK ALSO if you could tell.. lol
