Northstar 951x

The on/off button on my Northstar is only doing the "on" part. It will not turn off. I have to turn off my dc switch to shut off the unit . All other functions are ok . Anyone have a similar problem or know a fix?

From my M121 Manual I found the following. This might help you out.

Auto power
If the Instrument is wired for auto power (see
section 20-4), then:
• The Instrument automatically turns on when
you turn the boat’s ignition switch on.
• You can not turn the Instrument off while
the ignition switch is on.
• If Auto power off (see section 19-1) is checked, the
Instrument automatically turns off when you
turn the boat’s ignition switch off.
• If Auto power off (see section 19-1) is not checked, the
Instrument stays on when you turn the boat’s
ignition switch off. You can now turn the
Instrument off manually.

There is a set up box for Auto Power in the system setup screen.
