Leaving Monday for a week on Norris Lake in Tn. This is a 35,000 acre lake in eastern Tn. Anyone familiar with it ? This will be our first trip to this lake....stayin' for a week.....can't wait !

We trailer to Norris. We can leave the house & be one the water in about 45 min or so. Absolutely beautiful lake. 800 miles of shoreline. Do you know which part of the lake you'll be staying on?

You're on the Clinch River side. We launch about 45 min by water (point 19)from there.

Scott, sorry I missed you this weekend. We didn't make it to your end of the lake on Friday and we left on Saturday. One of these days we will get to meet!

we just got back from a week at Norris. It is absoutely beautiful! We have be spending a week there for the past 3 years. You are on the busier end of the lake but we traveled down to the point Scott was talking about. Just north of point 19 on the clinch river there is a rope swing and some cliffs to jump off. My kids had a blast there. I will try to get some pictures posted this week. The water has been dropping down there. I heard it dropped 5 ft last week and it dropped over 2 feet while we were there. I don't know if they got any rain Saturday and Sunday so it may still be dropping.
We have been staying on the other end of the lake and have just loved it. we come down from Northern KY. This year we stayed in Straight Creek area between point 28 & 29 and drove down to the Point 19 that Scott talked about two times. Its a great ride!

Just got back from a week on the Lake....very beautiful and lots of destinations....Mountain Lake Marina was a big disapointment...generally run down with poor docking and a terrible boat ramp....but had good times on the water....will post a few pics later.
