I'm looking to install some Tri-colored lights this season in my cockpit. The company is i2Systems out of CT but they also sell them on Yacht Lighting.com (see links below).

My plan is to use the exsisting location / wiring / switches of the cockpit and arch lighting. But after speaking to the manufacture, they indicated the tri-colored lights need a Normally Closed Momentary Switch.

Does anyone know if the standard switches on the control panel of SR's are considered a "Normally Closed Momentary Switch"? The function is to cycle through until they shut off.

Can anyone help out? Thanks for your help.

I installed the i2 lights in my cockpit and arch. The ones I got turn from red/white/blue and then off. The switches on the helm on the searay are NOT momentary switches but they will work. With switch off, cycle the switch by pressing the switch twice. Here is an example: first coming on boat:
sw off, lights off
cycle switch on/off/on, light are now red
cycle switch off/on, lights are now white
cycle switch off/on, lights are now blue
cycle switch off/on, light go into their own off position with power still applied.
cycle switch off for more than 3-4 secs, lights will reset to beginning of sequence, lights are off, no power of course.

Switches are not momentary but they work.

Thanks for the answer. That is GREAT news. I didn;t want to get into new switches.

So question: What do you think of the brightness? With 3 lights in 1, are they still as bright as the non LED SR standard single lights?

How do they look at night? Are you happy with them?

I have a cost of $115 from Yacht lighting .com Any good?

Do these fit in the existing hole of the Perko lights or do you need to modify the opening?

Good question. I assume they fit but lets see what Tom can add.

I saw these at the Boston Boat Show on a 366 Grady White. It ooked insane with the tri color
