I need help please.. I have a Norcold model DE 451 The freezer holds 18 degrees, but the refrigerator won't go below 42 degrees.............Ideas???? Thank You Bruce 2000 410 DA:huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh::huh:

Move the adjustment lower. Typically, the fridge will get cooler, but the freezer will get a bit warmer....you may be at max cool. If you are, perhaps you can get it recharged.

Depending on how you have your fridge loaded can make a huge difference. I went to a RV store and purchased a small fan that is a little smaller than a soda can. Holds 2-D batteries. Really made a difference getting a little air circulating. Mine runs for about 6-8 weeks before you have to replace the batteries.

I put two fans behind the same model. One is 12 v while running or on the hook and the other is for shore power. Both do an OK job but it is time to replace the fridge with a better one. I did the same on our 1996 boat and went with an Isotherm unit. Worked very well, was quieter and was a miser on electric usage. I'll be doing the same with this one as well. Seems typical life cycle for the NorColds are about 6-8 years with some exceptions.

There are other fridges out there that also can do the job. Just make sure they have the Danfoss compressor.

Yes, loading it is everything.
We lost a lot of food on the bottom half of the fridge but, the icecream was fine.
My wife had it stuffed with stuff and little airflow made the fridge around 42deg.

Please help.....Where can I purchase a cold pack to rebuild my Norcold model de 461..Thank you...............
