Have a 1997 45' Sundancer which has the NorCold DE461R that quit. Green light still lights at the bottom but will not cool. Most likely the compressor went bad. Looking for a used replacement or a used compressor Part #617844 in So. Fl. Thanks, Capt Bob

Must be the year. With all the hating that goes on over Norcold ours held up good all these years. We had the cooking unit replaced 10 years ago and it worked fine till this season. Same deal as yours light on but no cooling. Bought a Vitrifrigo. Fit perfect with a little work. Only thing I don't like about it is the handles. The location is not intuitive and they seem flimsy. I do like the light inside though!
Best bet probably to buy a new one.

Skuza, NorCold are a train wreck. I notice how it is almost impossible to find a standard 110V fridge you can replace the Norcold's. You can buy a super great standard fridge for hundreds less. With a generator and shore power who gives a hoot about 12 V? I'll see what I can find. Thanks. Blue skies and calm seas,
