Anyone have a good recommendation for a replacement. Boat is a 2003 400DB. This thing had to crap out just before a big trip.

Thanks in advance

Vitrifrigo!! Replaced my Norcold with one a couple of years ago. Great uniit with more internal capacity and fit right in the old hole.

Good luck, Art

Any chance you have the model number?

I don't have the invoice close by, but I'm about 99% positive that this is what I installed instead of my DE0061.

I like the unit, but maybe b/c we always packed to the limit I have to keep it cracked up to about 85% and it makes the freezer build up ice quite a lot. Defrosting in mid season just to get the ice build up out solves the problem. Other than that it's pretty good. The minute you open the box you noticed the quality difference.

Thanks. I had to defrost my Norcold monthly, so if this can go a few months before needing to be dealt with, that will be a plus.

I'd say that it could use defrosting at least couple times during the season, but definitely not monthly, at least we don't feel it's necessary.

I don't know if your DE0461 is the same dimensions as my old DE0061, but the new unit fits pretty well. I think your depth should be close to mine and allow the larger unit (depth wise) to fit fine. As I recall the sides we almost exact match, but the height was slightly less on the new unit. I had to shim it a bit to cover the top opening as you don't see anything on the bottom.

It looks like the unit should fit the hole pretty well. I am thinking i will have to shim the new unit as well, but will keep my fingers crossed.
