Norcold boat and RV refrigerators

Norcold is recalling boat and RV refrigerators that can catch fire. see http://www.norcoldrecall.com/
They are being sued ( a class action) by two law firms

A neighbor of mine may be involved in this. His frig died and when they pulled it out there was severe charring of the wood and insulation next to the coils. The technician who installed the new one told him about the lawsuit. Some units have caught fire and obviously Norcold knows about the problem.

Maybe I missed something but it looks to me like this just applies to Gas/Electric RV Refrigerators? At least according to the Norcold page. Good information though.

Yes, it does seem to be more the RV type gas refrigerators, but many of us here have RV's too so good to know.

Might apply to some houseboats. But just passing it on. I have a motor home with a Norcold, but not one of the models involved.
