Hello,

My wife, kids, and I recently purchased a 1987 SeaRay 230 Weekender. We upgraded from a 1986 Legend 16' Bowrider.

The Sea Ray is a one owner boat with less than 300 hours on it. It appears as if it were never used. Everything works as if it were new - except the fresh water system. The pump runs, but water only trickles out of the faucet. I'll be investigating/repairing that soon. The seats/cushions/carpet/canvas appear new. The 454 Magnum runs like a champ. It has a brand new outdrive. The bilge is absolutely spotless.

I do have a question. It is registered as a 230, but says 250 on the side. Why?

I am sure I will have lots of questions. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Enjoy your new 230 Weekender! Somebody with a complex must have stuck the 250 on the side.

 That's what I figured. I did run out with a tape measure. If you include the swim platform, it measures just about 25'.

We're headed out right now for a few hours.
