Non responsive stereo remote control

Great day on the water today but the dash mounted stereo remote does not function. It is illuminated and the other remote on the swim platform functions properly. Also, when the remote on the swim platform is operated, the non functioning dash mounted remote properly displays the input into the working remote. All connections on the back of the head unit seem OK, but there is no access to the back side of the remote.

Any ideas?

The only thing I can think of is a connection to the unit or the unit itself. Here is the manual link.

Try unplugging and reconnecting connections at the stero, and at the Y cable connection....that should do it.

Thanks to both of the two great suggestions....the boats on a service rack at my marina for a well needed cleaning tomorrow. I will let you know how it turns out. If I can get this fixed as well as figuring out why all of a sudden my Garmin reads 0.0 feet all of a sudden, it will be a good day.

Well, the two suggestions were right on the money. The wife, much narrower of shoulders that yours truly was able to back into the compartment just in front of the dashboard and after looking around realized that the connection into the back of the head unit was loose. Easy 5 minute fix. Thanks for the help guys.
