He has accomplished nothing...has not solved a conflict anywhere in the world.
His nomination was submitted no more than two weeks after he became POTUS...COME ON!

I have lost all respect for the Nobel award and the credibility of the committee.
Someone, PLEASE explain to me why he is deserving of this award?????

As someone else put it

"Because he is not G.W. Bush"

I agree that this is a very, very premature

Doesn't matter if he actually did anything, he meant to do well. He's well liked in the world of liberalism. Liberals pick the winner. Nuff said.

Take a look at this website.
You'll see yaser arafat won it too...uh...Whu....?!
Gore won it as well by flying all over the world on his private Gulfstream with outdated and in-efficient engines pushing an environmental agenda.

Somebody's gonna have egg on their face IF he does end up sending more troops to Afghanistan! His advisors have to be HATING this! The whole world is talking about how he doesn't deserve the award - focuses attention on his lack of performance thus far. And the subject will come up again when he has to go to receive the award!

Kind of funny, after the SNL piece.... Ok, Who's more accurate now?! LOL

I voted "no" on a facebook poll about "does obama deserve the npp"?

In my comment I posted:
"Holy ****...can ANYONE please tell me what this man ACCOMPLISHED to deserve this award? PLEASE look at previous recipients and note that they actually did something...usually over a lifetime. This is the official "jump the shark" moment for the NPP. Pure.Political.Garbage. Bye bye peace prize...you are now no better than a golden globe."

Well, my liberal sister in law responded:

"Well...while I agree that awarding it to him is "interesting"...I will say that in a remarkably short amount of time he's accomplished a hell of a lot more than either of us. I do think that there are others who were probably more deserving, but that's no reason to tear down a man who has clearly accomplished a lot thus far in his life."

CNN must have known, they fact check the SNL skit for him.

The award is given to the highest bidder. Evidently he wanted this more than he wanted the olympics.

He had to buy something to get the polls turned around. Last time I looked he was south of 50%

He also rang up a huge electric bill at his house as I remember. He then replaced windows and added a solar panel or two to take advatage of some new tax breaks I'm sure...

Here are some totals I just found...

"That averages out to be $29,268 in gas and electric bills for the Gores in 2006, $31,512 in 2005."

either that or he just never turns off the lights and runs the AC and Heat at the same time all year round.

Heated pool year round and he keeps opening the refrig..

The reason I was surprised was I thought Michael Moore was going to get the Nobel prize...

Always next year I guess.

If I had one of those (nobel prizes) I would send it back......Keep the $$$....though
