We went kayaking the other day and came across these vessels that showed such a lack of care.... why own a boat if you are not going to maintain it... To each their own I guess.... Sad.....

The bad situation is certainly documented. I just hope the underlying cause is not even worse than evidenced by the vessel condition.

Such a shame. Saw a SeaRay the other week much like that condidtion, but on a lift outside a multi-million dollar home which hadn't been used in years. Looked like an early 2000, so not that old really. Very sad when you think of how some folk would just love to own and take good care of them.........

There's three in our marina in the same shape and two Carvers. The newest is a 2011 that has sat on the hard since his wife caught him with another girl, she's full of water in the cabin. I've never understood why owners do this

The boat or the other girl?

I think this stuff I when people get in trouble with debt. The more well off people are the worse it is.

That 400DA hurts my eyes...
That thing probably doesn't have a drop of water in its core either. No really, just the odds ya know?

Why have something as nice as a boat like that if you're not going to maintain it. Maybe started out with the right intensions, and something happened to change their position in life, who knows. But to let a boat sit like that and pay the slip fees etc. unbelieveable
