I have just purchased a 2001 310 Sundancer, the only issue that I can't seem to figure out is how to get hot water. I have read all the threads regarding hot water and followed all of them. I did have to reset the thermostat, the tank gets very hot, I did open the mixing valve and noticed it bone-dry. I get cold water from the hot water faucets, yet it seems no water is getting to the tank. I do not have the original owners manuals, the ones on the Searay site seem to be very general and give no details as to the pluming layout. Help...

Any chance that the tank is still bypassed from winterization?
If there is no water in the tank, do not turn the power on (heat) untill you are sure there is water in it. The element will burn out.Good luck

Good point.. it could very well be bypassed by whoever winterized the boat. Lack of access to a good plumping layout making it impossible to figure out what I need to look for. I can't even find any shut-off valves as indicated by the owner’s manual that I downloaded from Searay. I will take few picture and post tomorrow for your review.:smt100

The bypass will be by the hot water heater water connection fittings.

It may look like one of these:
