02 340 sundancer with Twin 6.2L mercruiser We just bought the charmer off of a gentleman and it’s been on a trailer for a couple years so he had a mechanic go thru it to make sure of operation. He missed a few things and now they are mine to figure out. This I missed on dry land and limited run time. But with basic operations we ventured Lake Powell cautiously and found these issues.
I’ve searched posts and saw the screw switch to turn but I’m concerned that wouldn’t work on mine since there is no reference to digital hour meter. Tach is constant at 5K RPM with engine on or off.
Also port trim position doesn’t register. Always registers down.
Sync meter does register so I’m wondering what I’m missing. Bad tachometer and trim or do they have common sending unit or wiring connections/plug?
Still researching the westerbeke 4.5 genny. Finally got it running but only for about 20 minutes and then won’t start and continue to run. Looks like fuel pump maybe issue
Thank you for any guidance you can provide. And if my wording is off, I’m learning, I’ll be happy to clarify.
