350 Mercruiser w/Bravo III Drive
Still trying to get my 350 mercruiser out on the water but now I cant get a spark out of the coil. I put the continuity tester on the coil and everything seems to be fine. I have replaced the ignition sensor under the dist. cap but that hasnt worked either. Im going to replace the coil next to see what that will do but I dont have high hopes. I hate to the throw parts at the problem but what else, besides the computer, could it be. Thanks for all your help.:smt021:smt101

OK...you have voltage into the coil? Then when you turn the engine over...there is no spark? Or is there nothing from the coil into the distributor? You should have voltage in on one side of the coil (the + side) and the other side should go into the distributor. Just to be sure, leave the distributor cap off, make sure the distributor is actually turning with the engine (sometimes gears have been known to come off or not be seated).

I will give that a shot tomorrow. As of now there is no spark coming from the coil even though there seems to be voltage getting to the coil. The coil is fairly new so I dont think it is the cause of the problem. we'll see. Thanks
