I have a 2010 330 Sun Dancer. I noticed that there is no sound from the cockpit speakers when the radio is turned on...only in the cabin. To the best of my knowledge, I have not muted the cockpit speakers, and all breakers and fuses appear ok. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong or what I may need to check?

Check to see if you have switched for your amps (which are separate). Both of my Sea Rays have them near the door.

Yeah typically the wires are tapped off a few times and low powered by the time it actually gets to the speakers.

I had a problem with our Clarion XMD3 where the cockpit speakers stopped working. As it turned out our shore power had been disconnected and our batteries were dead. The problem with the speakers happened after that. When I asked on this forum I got the fix, it was a reset on the stereo.

Near the cabin door? If so, all of the switches near the cabin door seem only to control cabin lights.

The only switch for the stereo is the breaker in the main power panel. Of course there is also the power switch on the head unit and the remote at the helm.

Jim...we have the same boat..do you have any thoughts as to why my cockpit speakers may not be emitting sound whilst the cabin speakers are?

Craig,

Do you have separate amps for cabin and cockpit speakers? If so, you may have a blown amp.

I believe that I might have two amps and will check this out. Thanks for your help.

Also, as silly as it seems, check to make sure that the fade/balance setting isn't off. Depending on how your amp(s) are set up you may have "front" setting feeding the cabin and the "rear setting feeding the cockpit.

PM me your email address and I will email it to you. I messed around with the amps and lots of other stuff. Turned out I just had to hit 4 buttons on stereo to reset. Manual doesn't tell you that if the power is off for extended period (dead battery or unhooked battery) you have to reset.

This happens on my boat when on battery and the battery gets low.

you need to reset the radio, if you have the manual it tells you that you need to reset the radio, I don't have the manual with me but if you haven't fix the problem email me and i will go to the boat and get the manual and answer you. Steve
