Just installed new new batteries in the cockpit, main reason to open the eng. hatch, however with the switch on and showing 13 volts on the main panel meter I have no power to anything. What have I missed or what am I doing wrong?:smt100

Not sure if I understand the nature of your question.

Reason for adding batteries - raise engine hatch, - Isn't there an access port that will allow you to disengage hatch lift cylinder?

How did you determine that new batteries were needed?

I don't know the layout of a 96 330, but how did you install batteries in the cockpit? Is that the normal location for the batteries?

I guess you need to back up and explain the circumstances before you added the batteries.

SeaRay configured the batteries in the 330DA's in several different ways.

Yes, there are two batteries under the fwd cockpit bench seat.

The config in the ER varied, depending on year, engines, whether or not a genny was installed, or as far as I can tell, by the whim of the factory that day.

Are the batteries in the ER connected? Are all the 12V switches on?

Tks Henry my 330 battery setup is there are two batteries under the rear facing seat that are for the port side one being a cranking and the other house. There are two more in ER one for starboard and the other for the gennie. I need new batteries as per my survey as I have just taken delivery of the boat.

I'm never surprised to hear about different battery configs in 330's, but I had the same engines, a factory genny and it was the also a '96, so I'm surprised that your cockpit batteries aren't in parallel - mine were. Are you sure there's not a missing or disconnected jumper?
