No opening in Vacuflush... huh????

Hi - new boater and owner of 1996 330 Sundancer. The head had been working fine (several flushes no problems) then suddenly water is backed up. I don’t hear anything kick on when I flip the button to on. I read a few other posts and attempted insert a smallish wood stick but it’s as if there is NO opening when I press the foot down to flush. The stick just hits what I assume to be is rubber with no opening whatsoever.

I’m assuming I need to figure out why the head/vacuum isn’t kicking on first but I don’t know where to begin. Any guidance is much appreciated.

That's probably the blockage. Grab some kitchen tongs and start pulling it out.

Something might have snapped in the pedal assembly assuming it the vacuflush with the foot pedal. If it's the same as mine the foot pedal opens a ball valve that allows everything in the toilet to go down.

yes, there is a ball valve and it’s able to rotate with the pedal but when I rotate and try to use anything to clear what might be a clog, there’s literally no opening into the tubes/pipes - it’s so strange

Anyone onboard that may have put something down that should not have been?

Our rule is if you didn't eat it it does not go in the head. NO PAPER, NO WIPES, NO FEMININE PRODUCTS!!!

We have only had the boat for two weeks and only my husband and I have used it “appropriately” 2 or 3 times to urinate.

I have a friend and his head was plugged, he later told me he had good news and bad, The good was his granddaughters boyfriend had used condoms, the bad was they were in his vacuflush. It happens, hence the question. LOL

Use It when you get the problem sorted out, just follow my previous advice and read the threads on Noflex digester. My 20+yo boat looks like new where the bad stuff goes after a couple of seasons of using that product.

Go to the linked site and learn about the product, how it works, and most importantly what NOT to do. It truly is amazing, IF, I said IF you follow their instructions. I had another friend that put it down for one tank and then claimed it didn't help his smell problem. This is a long term solution, the nasty in your tank didn't get their overnight, it will take some time to win the smell battle.
