Not what you think, our 500DB was named MOJO as of today she belongs to another family.
She has given us many great memories from watching whales off the bow off PTown to traveling down the east coast and around Florida to the Abocos and back.
We’re happy that she will create new memories for her new owners and their family
Our boating has changed once again we are now looking forward to day boating on a sand bar somewhere or lunch at cabbage key. Our search for a 250SDX OB or 270SDX OB starts today
It’s a sad day indeed we will really miss this boat. so for now it’s no boat here in Fla but hope that changes soon.
id like to thank Rusty and Frank for helping us jump into the diesel world their words of encouragement was very calming. Thanks guys
Hope you guys enjoy her as much as we did.

We are ready to downsize also, just dont think we want a day boat yet. We still like the occasional overnight trips. We are thinking 37-40 ft range. Good luck on your search.

Good luck with the search for the new boat. It is funny how the boating life progression happens.

Well now everyone on the water is a little safer! Haha….I always say Change is good…. A sad day indeed (as it was for me) but you did more destinations than most… Glad we did the Bahamas and the keys together………..Good luck in your search…. Cheers

Have you had a look at some of the boat clubs in the area?? There is one in the St Pete area that offers a nice 33’ regal, for example….could fill the gap till you find the perfect hole in the water.

Great ride Joe. I remember when you came aboard CSR with the 250, your trials and tribulations with the 36 and your Chesapeake journey. It was a pleasure meeting you in Chesapeake City for a cold one on that jaunt. Best of luck in whatever you do going forward and thank you ever so much for your service.

PS Surely you turned the new owners on to CSR?

We just went through the same thing. We sold the 420 after 11 years on a Texas lake and moved to a 25' Center Console we keep at our condo on the west coast of FL north of Clearwater.

We've really enjoyed the transition so far. It's nice to be so nimble with the speed, maneuverability and economy. We do expect to change again in about 3 years when I retire. At that point I think (as of today) I want a tweener. A 32-34' twin outboard, hardtop, semi open bow with some sleeping capability. The Tiara 34LS is way high on my list but hard on the budget. I want something with the ability to cruise at 35mph, go through some bumpy water, and have the occasional sleepover.

I'll be looking forward to hearing about your progression. We're actively looking at changing our location from Port Richey to Clearwater, St Pete, Sarasota or maybe Cape Coral. Perhaps we'll cross paths one day.

First COD and now Mojo!

Susan and I will miss seeing you on our trips to LBK! Best to you and Martha! I hope we get to see you again.

Congrats Joe and Martha on the sale.

I totally get it, know several people who have transitioned to a place on land and a more nimble boat.

Marriot recently opened a new hotel in Clearwater Beach next to where we keep our boat. Has a marina behind it, all of the slips are targeting the size boat you are looking for. That's becoming a popular thing, you could leave home and be in CLB in 2 hours on a center console. Tie up in the marina and sleep in the hotel.

Less maintenance and headache and you are still in range of great areas along the west coast.

Stay in touch, we are still west coast neighbors.

Mark

Great time to sell, hope you find another soon - being boatless nearly killed me!

Wish we could have had one last cruise together but you guys are welcome to join us anytime.

Congrats on the sale and good luck on the search for the next Joe. That sandbar life looks like nothing here in the N.E. but sure looks like a good time.

So what about the 205 Sport? Did it give you a case of day boat fever? So much easier to maintain and handle a day boat.
