Did my first solo-winterizing today (my 14 yr old son helped). Using only info from the forums here, I changed my oil and filter, fuel filter, added antifreeze, and fogged the engine. The interesting part was that I was going to do this last weekend when the temp was mid 50's. A local master certified technician had agreed to help me, but backed out. Today, there was 4 inches of snow when I woke up. Temp warmed up, sun came out, and I bought all supplies and knocked out all the processes in less than two hours, including clean up and removal of carpet, non-essential items. Temp is supposed to be low of 26 tonight, so it was imperative to do it today. Thank you forum posters!
