No Lake Erie Aquapaloosa?

Just noticed that there is no Kelleys Island Aquapaloossa this year. Anyone know what gives. I assume the Lake Erie Marine Max is hurting thus not willing to host it. I really wish they would just give their Sea Ray to rights to Skipper Buds and move on. In my opinion altough not much better, Skipper Buds is a better dealer and knows the great lakes market much better than Marine Max.

My lake isn't listed but our dealer assures me that the event is on & plans are progressing well.

I noticed that they didn't list it on their event calendar. You can call Heidi Biglin at 419-797-4492 or e-mail at heidi.biglin@marinemax.com to see if they have anything planned.

I have attended a couple of these events in the past, and I wasn't really impressed. The rafting at Kelly's Cove at times got rough and the boats got bounced around. If they are planning another event, they should try to get a location where we could be near a beach. Maybe somewhere in Sandusky Bay where the water would be calmer.

I know that Colony Marine (St. Clair Shores) hosts one up in Michigan and it seems to be a good event. We've been invited to attend, but schedules have not allowed us to make the trip.

Here is the latest from MM - Catawba Island web site. It looks as if they are moving it to Sandusky Bay. Additional information won't be available until next week when Heidi at MM gets back from vacation.

For those in the area and with an interest in attending, here is an email that I received today from Heidi at Catawba Island Marine Max. In a follow up email she indicated that the event would take place on the "Sand Bar."

Good afternoon Casey. The Aquapalooza event will take place on the 24th of July in the Sandusky Bay from 10-2. As you register for the event Sea Ray will send me those reservations.
