ray marine rl80crc,worked fine last week.Changed the batteries (4) and took boat to marina for engine/shaft alignment.when i brought it back to our marina i couldnt get a fix.The gps sensor/antennae is a raystar 108 from 1992 and i am thinking it gave up the ghost.Should i 1)buy a used one if i can actually find one.2) buy a newer one and pay to have it installed because it gets more confusing the newer the antennea 3) buy a chartplotter that cost about the same as a new 130 raystar antennea and still use my radar which works fine or 4) buy a whole new radar chartplotter gps system that will kill any chance of a vacation this year.

Try resetting the power to the antenna. When the antenna is powered up all the time it sometimes goes into buffer overrun and you will lose fix. Some Raymarine techs put a rocker switch in series with the power to antenna to accomplish this

I will try that Scott ,thanks.I am thinking of putting in an offer on a new in box rs125 also,it would do the job better than the 108 and still be able to run autopilot etc.
