Hi
I have a Raytheon head with speed, depth and temperature that has always worked perfectly. It turns on and chirps when I touch the buttons, and the light on the LED screen lights up however there is nothing displayed. Any suggestions?

Not sure how these are set up on the 310, but this happens to me often on my 230. I boat in the Muddy Missouri and the sensor on the outdrive can become clogged with debris. The sensor is in a small notch on the outdrive and using a small drill bit to clean the debris out works.

When I had my 280DA this would happen a couple times a season when the spring rains washed all the junk into the water from the streams and rivers, etc. I never used the drill bit thing, felt a bit dangerous. What I did was cut up a couple metal hangers of different sizes and kept them on the boat. Just a quick poke into that hole and that was all it took. Other's use the drill bit, my boat was on a lift so I would just fix it while it was in the lifted position....

His depth is not working according to the thread title. I suggest checking the back of your ST60 or ST40 display. You should have 2 spade connectors coming from the transducer. Make sure those are connected. If they are thn you quite possible have a bad ducer. It is likely a a thru-hull mounted inside a bronze housong. You can remove these while the boat is in the water to replace them.
