I have an issue with my Smartcraft Tachometer readings. I'm not getting any info for depth or sea temp. I know they use the same transducer and I've unpluggged and re-plugged the connector hoping it was just corrosion on the plug. One interesting thing, when you first turn on the ignition the sea temp reads 32 deg. F. for about 10 seconds before going to all dashes.

Any ideas? I hate to buy a new transducer if not needed. Thanks for your help!

I have the same problem. I took it out over the winter and called the manufacture. They said to listen for ticking sounds to see if it is completely dead. I plugged it in and put it to my ear and it sounded like it was working. I even got a depth reading when I pointed it at a metal object and a temp reading so I reinstalled it. It worked for my first trip out then died again. My guess is a loose connection inside the transducer. If I get bored I’ll take another look but it most likely needs to be replaced.
