I am trying to repair the instrument lights on my 240SD. I pulled the instrument cluster and was suprised to see that all the instuments are "daisy chained" together. They all have the same 3 wires going to them. That tells me that they are all digital including the speedometer. Can anyone tell me which color wire is the data line, ground, and 12v?? The wiring schematic that is in the owners manual is not correct. It shows a pressure tube for the speedometer and there is no instrument lighting shown. Thanks MikeR.

You may have the "Next Generation" guages. My 03 280 has these and the only way to replace the lights is by repacing the whole guage!?!? Yea, I know this sucks.
