Last weekend I am out and I get an alarm with a Check Engine notification and she wont idle. So I limp back to the dock and tie up. Temp stays good but water pressure is down so I figure it is the impeller. I am overdue at 250 hours anyway. I have a full week on the road so I call the shop and see if I can bring her in on Tuesday and pick it up Friday, "Sure, no problem at all!" he says.

I call yesterday only to find "it was just getting in the shop, but will be ready tomorrow" I am told.

Call today on my way back in town on 85 and i get "I just haven't got to it yet", I was too tired to yell!!:smt013

So my perfect weekend is shot! Should I let this guy have it on Monday??? I understand being busy and juggling clients, but come on, tell me the truth at least!:smt013:smt009:smt013

I guess i will clean the garage, D$MNIT!!!:smt089:smt089:smt089

Don't be to hard on him, You wanna make sure it's ready for the following weekend for sure.

This is a busy season for the marine service guys. Theres simply just not enough hours in the day to get things done. Most places are ATLEAST a week turn around right now. On average id say 2weeks is the normal.

If it was something simple then i'd get a bit ansy but if its something major id be happy with a weeks turn around.

If it's just the impelller you should be able to knock that out in an hour or less. Go get the boat and part and go boating.

I understand, but he should have shot me straight then. He is not the only shop in town, and I would have "tried" it myself if i only knew. All I can think of is the meter running on my wet slip with no boat in it! Cha ching cha ching!:smt089
