No AC power on Port side of boat

I've all of a sudden have no AC power on the Port side of cabin non in the salon outlet at the bottom of the couch non in the master outlet or lamp.can't tell if the GFI in the head is working or not .Pushed the yellow test button and the red reset to no avail could it be the GFI ? will a regular House GFI work in a boat? thanks Rip

You're on the right track. Also switch the Circuit off on the AC panel on the main electrical panel and switch it back on. I would think it actually is the GFI, but, you never know. I don't know if they're the same as a home unit, but it sure seems so. They may be tin and not copper due to the marine environment.

Hey Rip! Where ya been? Haven't heard from you in a while.
That has happened to me and it was a GFI popped. If I remember right, it was the plug on the wall to the left of the refrigerator.
There may also be one in the head area.

Hey Doc, getting old is a *****. As you know there are two rows of orange cir. breaker,as fate will have it one row is under the# 1 inlet switch plug and the other was under the #2 inlet plug switch The switch can be set on ! 1 or 2 or gen mine is set on 1because i have one line run from the dock ,that being said I can only run 1 air cond. at a time,The port side of the boat runs off the #2 side,thet can be turned on even if the switch is on #1 . Long story short I went down to the boat this morning , look athe panel and fliped the breaker on that said "frd outlets" and behold light in the master cabin!! Must have switch it off whenI fliped the foward air off .If you try to run both airs on a single line it will kick the breaker..I feel like a fool!! Been off line since just befor Xmas Had a triple bypass and a aoritc valve job all Ineed now is a new set of rings and inserts .Doctor says I got another 20 years.The doctors today are the best,mine knows his stuff ,he and his pardner in the 5000+ range Dr Downing and Mangonon I would not hisitate for one second now ,knowing what I know now Hi tech stuff My hat is to any body that works in a hospital...Rip
