Why would the Civil War upset the MAGA base? IIRC it was Republicans that defeated the Democrats, who fought keep slavery. It is also my understanding, Democrat states kept Lincoln off the ballot….Makes one wonder why there is still a Democrat party….weird

I had to go look for this. If that is your deciding factor for whether or not to support her it is just another MSM way to brainwash. People looking at a candidate with blinders are easily swayed by the media. You need to look at their whole career, accomplishments and records. Which is why I don't support her. She is a Neocon in every way. I do believe we should have a brutally strong and fierce military. But I believe we should not involve our military in foreign affairs that do not threaten us as a nation.

I'll grant you some of that. But she is the only one running who has actual skin in the game as her husband is currently serving overseas. That either means two things -- she'll be hesitant to engage or she'll get rid of him ASAP in the first conflict available.

Truth is though you would not have even brought up the slavery quote if you did not see it over and over. I did hear about it I realized after searching but thought it was a dead issue or not a real big deal and forgotten about it. The Civil war was started over reasons not 100% known and definitely not a single issue. Slavery was one of the many many reasons. Truth is it is mostly opinion at this point of how it began. And it began years earlier. I feel we are at the late end of a cold civil war. It will either fizzle out or go hot in the next few years. Niki's problem was she answered an irrelevant question, which what she thought was a serious, high level answer. She should have recognized that was a planted question --who the phuk cares about the civil war in New Hampshire. Her answer should have been:
