Hello and while I'm new here, I'm also new to the boating world, as Ive never owned a boat i do have some experience and have been looking for a good project boat for awhile.
I came across what could be a good deal on my local CL, all the ad says is a 1974 Sea Ray speed boat with a 454 engine. When looking at the ad it actually has an Oldsmobile 455 engine. From my research i believe its an SRV 220 21 ft. not sure on the CC or OV part yet.
Apparently the last time the boat was in the water was two years ago and it didn't have any issues at the time, current owner bought as a project but has lost interest and wants to sell. Said it is a very sound boat as far as the hull/transom goes and good mechanically but needs a new floor and interior redone, also trailer needs some minor TLC.
As a newbie I'm looking for any and all info i can find on this particular model and weather or not these are worth the time and effort to restore. I'm not looking to fix and sell I'm looking to fix it up and enjoy it as much as possible!
Thanks
